Titun LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the unscroll mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App. By using unscroll, you consent to the practices described in this policy.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account Information:

When you create an account, we collect information provided through your chosen sign-in method:

  • Apple Sign-In: Name and email address (you may choose to hide your email via Apple's relay service)
  • Google Sign-In: Name and email address

Profile Information:

  • Username (required)
  • Display name (optional)
  • Bio (optional)
  • Profile photo (optional)

Onboarding Preferences:

During setup, we collect your responses to personalize your experience:

  • Estimated daily screen time
  • Apps you find distracting
  • Personal goals and aspirations
  • Content topics of interest

User Content:

  • Collections you create (titles, descriptions, codes, cover images)
  • External links you add to collections
  • Content you save to your library

Communications:

If you contact us at support@findpurpose.app, we collect the content of your correspondence.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data:

We collect information about how you interact with the App, including content viewed, features used, and session duration, to improve the experience.

Device Information:

We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.

Subscription Data:

Subscription status, plan type, and trial eligibility are synced through RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) to verify your access to premium features. We do not store your payment method or billing details.

1.3 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Certain data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Screen Time and blocking preferences: App selections, blocking schedules, and focus session history are stored locally using encrypted storage (MMKV) and Apple's Family Controls framework. This data stays on your device.
  • Offline content: Downloaded content is stored locally on your device.
  • Reader settings: Font, theme, and reading preferences.
  • Onboarding responses: Your initial preferences are stored locally to personalize the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the App — deliver content recommendations, manage your account, and enable core features
  • Personalize your experience — tailor content suggestions based on your selected topics and preferences
  • Process subscriptions — verify premium access and manage subscription status
  • Moderate content — review user-submitted links and collections for safety and compliance with our Content Policy
  • Communicate with you — respond to support requests and send service-related notifications (with your permission)
  • Improve the App — analyze usage patterns to fix issues and develop new features
  • Enforce our Terms — detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our policies

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Public Information

The following information is visible to other unscroll users:

  • Your username, display name, bio, and profile photo
  • Public collections you create (including title, description, and code)
  • Your saved/followed public collections

3.2 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the App, including providers for database hosting, authentication, subscription management, and content moderation. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Titun LLC, our users, or the public.

3.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

3.5 No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
  • User content: Collections, links, and profile information are deleted when you delete your account.
  • Focus session history: Stored locally and automatically pruned after 90 days.
  • Reading statistics: Stored locally and automatically pruned after 90 days.
  • Moderation records: Retained for up to 12 months for safety and compliance purposes, even after account deletion.
  • Offline content: Stored locally on your device and removed when you delete them or uninstall the App.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage, secure authentication, access controls, and server-side validation.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account in the App. This permanently removes your profile, collections, saved content, and associated data. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple.

6.2 Data Access

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at support@findpurpose.app.

6.3 Notification Preferences

You can manage push notification permissions through your device's system settings at any time.

6.4 Offline Data

You can delete offline content and cached data through the App at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

unscroll is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 16 is using the App, please contact us at support@findpurpose.app.

8. International Users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. 9. Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party websites and content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit through the App.

10. Tracking and Advertising

unscroll does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), and we do not serve advertisements. We do not participate in cross-app or cross-site tracking.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
